Programs and Initiatives

The Global Workforce Coalition brings together community colleges, industry and other partners to embed global skills within technical training and prepare more learners for success in the workforce. 

Partnership Labs

The Global Workforce Coalition (GWC) Partnership Labs are industry-supported cohort-based programs that pair U.S. community colleges with international institutions to prepare community college students for success in a globalized workforce by embedding global skills within technical training. 

Through the GWC’s Partnership Lab program model, paired institutions work together to embed global skills and learning experiences within each institution’s respective technical training courses and existing curricula. Collaborations span a wide range of critical-need industry areas, as driven by institutional leadership and in alignment with industry needs. The development and delivery of immersive international experiences provide learners, faculty, and administrators alike with hands-on global learning and interaction with peers and industry experts around the world. 

Supported by the Cyril Taylor Charitable Foundation, the US-UK Partnership Lab pairs U.S. community colleges with institutions in the United Kingdom. A student exchange component is a key feature and deliverable of this program.
