Prior to joining ACCT, Kielo served as associate director of membership engagement at the American Council on Education, and as online communities manager at the International Baccalaureate.

Kielo holds a master's degree of science in international politics and a master of arts in English literature and history, both from the University of Glasgow in Scotland.
