ACCT’s Global Workforce Coalition (GWC) is a vibrant and growing community of practice connecting higher education, industry, and government worldwide. Together, we build, sustain, and expand strategic partnerships that address workforce development needs locally, nationally, and internationally, preparing community college learners for success in a globalized economy.
With a high-impact, highly collaborative approach, Global Workforce Coalition projects and services are co-designed to integrate global skills and competencies into technical training. Working alongside colleges and industry alike, our approach ensures individuals are equipped to meet the unique needs of an evolving global workforce, democratizing access to cutting-edge, globally-relevant skills for the community college learner and aligning those skills with the technical proficiencies sought by their future employers.
What Drives Us
Preparing learners for success in an intrinsically global workforce requires developing culturally empathetic, highly adaptable problem-solvers who can navigate nuance to operate effectively in a global environment or context. Our work ensures that, while learners receive technical skills that develop at pace with evolving industry needs, community colleges are simultaneously preparing a workforce that can collaborate, adapt, and excel in rapidly changing economic realities and global contexts.
