David leads ACCT's communications division, overseeing brand identity and public- and member-facing communications. He serves as managing editor of Trustee Quarterly magazine, and leads the annual Community College Month (#CCMonth) grassroots public-awareness campaign. David also serves as liaison to the Member Communications and Education Committee and the ACCT Corporate Council, along with Vice President Robin Matross Helms.
Prior to joining ACCT in 2008, David served as the writer and editor for the Entertainment Industries Council, Inc., whose mission is to bring the power and influence of the entertainment industry to bear on health and social issues.
David holds a master's degree of fine arts in creative writing and a bachelor's degree in English, film and media studies, both from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. David is also a proud alumnus of Northern Virginia Community College.
