Welcome!

Thank you for dedicating the time and effort to serving on your college's board. We know how busy students are, and we appreciate the investment you're making in your college—and in ACCT, your national association. 

Serving as a community college trustee should be a meaningful, potentially even life changing, experience. We're here to help enrich your experience in any way we can.

On this page, you will find some basic resources to help you understand your unique role as a student trustee on your college's board. You can also learn more about your roles, responsibilities, and limitations as a member of a governing board in the Trustee Education section. 

We also hope you'll join ACCT's Student Trustees Advisory Committee, through which you'll be able to connect with peer student trustees from throughout the United States and establish relationships that can serve you far beyond your college years. You can also learn more and build networks with other board members, college presidents, and ACCT staff through ACCT Connect, a social learning platform designed to help our members make the best of your experiences.
