My career for nearly two decades as a state trial court judge enables me to provide a unique perspective. During my time on the bench I presided over cases in rural areas and metropolitan St. Louis, involving both juveniles and adults primarily ages 18 to 35. During this time working with these individuals in the court system, I became acutely aware of the benefits for them, of both Associate Degrees and Certificates, and working within these programs for success. My commitment is shown by my seven years as a Trustee of MACC, third year as Board President, having attended seven ACCT Leadership Conferences and State Trustee Conferences, six Legislative Summits, an HLC Conference and currently serve on the ACCT Governance and Bylaws Committee.
