For the past three decades, Sheila Ireland has devoted her career to helping people seeking to connect to the American dream by focusing on education and workforce development. Sheila serves as a board trustee at Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) and chairs the workforce development committee. Deeply committed to the intersection of education and workforce development, Sheila serves on college and workforce boards across Philadelphia and was appointed to the ACCT board for the 2020-2021 year. Sheila’s passion for this work is fueled by a clear understanding of the power of community colleges as after dropping out of college, she returned to higher education by enrolling in CCP. Three degrees later she is living proof of the value of education and the opportunities that it can create. Sheila intends to pay it forward through her work with ACCT and as the Deputy Secretary of Labor and Industry in Pennsylvania
