Washington, D.C. — The Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) is excited to announce the release of a new logo to represent Community College Month (#CCMonth), designed by Quantanik Norton (pictured), a student from Oakland Community College. The logo will be provided to community colleges throughout the country for incorporation into their #CCMonth promotions, as well as by ACCT and partner organizations, throughout the month of April.

“We are thrilled to be able to recognize our contest winner Quantanik Norton and competition finalists Paraskeva Stanoevska and Ryan Tran for their creative efforts,” said ACCT President and CEO Jee Hang Lee. “We know that talented and dedicated students attend community colleges, and it is exciting to all of us at ACCT to be able to bring attention some of them while introducing a valuable new asset to our Community College Month campaign toolkit.”

“I’m excited about this and honored to have this recognition,” said Norton, who will receive a $1,250 cash award for her design. “I had so much fun coming up with a logo design to represent #CCMonth!”

Paraskeva Stanoevska, a student at Cape Cod Community College, won second place and recipient of a $500 cash prize, and Ryan Tran from Valencia College, won third place, with a $250 award. Over 225 entries were received.

The competition’s prizes were supported by ACCT and ACCT Corporate Council members AnthologyCLARUS CorporationEdamericaEllucian and Ferrilli

Each year, ACCT issues a comprehensive #CCMonth campaign toolkit that is used by hundreds of colleges as a starting point for their communications.

The toolkit includes a #CCMonth logo that hundreds of community colleges throughout the country incorporate into their public outreach, usually alongside their own colleges’ logos.

During each of the past two years, the #CCMonth campaign generated several million impressions, in addition to a great deal of local broadcast and online press, community events and other attention.

Community colleges and their advocates are encouraged to take part in the monthlong campaign through media outreach, campus open houses, and other efforts, and to share #CCMonth messaging on social media. ACCT will be sharing messaging throughout the month of April on Twitter @CCTrustees
