In partnership with the Rural Community College Alliance (RCCA), the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) is working to strengthen rural community colleges. Our project builds on ACCT’s prior work through the Strengthening Rural Community Colleges report that engaged rural community college presidents and trustees to gather information about the challenges faced by these institutions. One of the findings of this work was that rural colleges did not feel that they had a way to connect with one another to share ideas and discuss issues.
As the academic year comes to a close and we look forward to the summer and preparing for the fall, now is a great time for reflection. During this Peer Learning Network discussion, we will pose guiding questions to attendees that represent rural community college. This will be an opportunity to collaborate with other rural community college leaders to learn how they have navigated the pandemic. Additionally, come find out what other rural community colleges are choosing to stop, start, and continue as they support their students, staff, and teachers.
During this Rural Community College Peer Learning Network discussion we will bring together rural community college leaders to learn about best practices that they have learned and implemented as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This Peer Learning Network meeting will follow our Wednesday, May 25, 2022, DEI and Employability in the Global Economy webinar.
