ACCT members were invited to submit an application for a complimentary one-day board training or retreat by the August 15 deadline.
The deadline has passed. ACCT President and CEO Jee Hang Lee will be doing a live drawing on September 13, 2022. For more information, contact boardservices@acct.org.

After the deadline, at least 20 institutions will be randomly selected from all entrants via a lottery system.
Complete and return the form linked below to enter. The form must be signed by the chair of your institution's board or by your college's chief executive officer. One entry will be accepted per ACCT member institution.
“I have wanted to find a meaningful way to give back to our loyal membership throughout my 16-year tenure at ACCT,” said Jee Hang Lee, who was appointed president and CEO last November. “With the generous support of the ACCT Board of Directors, we will be able to provide planning and governance troubleshooting guidance to 25 of our member institutions during fiscal years 23, 24 and 25.”
ACCT is the only national organization that provides retreats and workshops tailored exclusively to the needs of community college boards. For decades, the association’s customized services have helped trustees effectively carry out their responsibilities in an increasingly complex higher-education landscape.
“Board development is considered a standard of good practice, and facilitated board trainings and retreats can strengthen communication and understanding among board members,” said ACCT Director of Retreats and Evaluation Services Colleen Allen. “This can lead to a stronger, more effective working group. Boards that engage in training and professional development also set a model for the rest of the institution.”
Up to five institutions may be selected from among member colleges that employ ACCT Executive Search Services. All 25 complimentary services will be implemented by June 30, 2023, after which 25 new institutions will be selected to receive services during the 2023 fiscal year.
